WOYWW 413

Thank you for the visits and kind comments last week. I'm sorry I didn't visit more deskers, was late commenting on some. There were also a couple I couldn't comment on but I left a reply after your comment.
Time just flew by last Wednesday. we had to have our radiators all flushed out, Wednesday was the day!!! I went out shopping , Left DH in charge. It was a cold day as well and no heating on brrrrrr.
On Wednesday afternoon I took two of the ladies ( friends) who have joined Stampin Up with me as their Upline, to meet my lovely Upline. She showed us the New Catalogue ( she had it as she went to Onstage) some new goodies and we had a play. A fun and relaxing time. Afterwards we called at a local pub for our dinner. A good day but we were late back and I was too tired to comment much on Wednesday evening.
Another busy day on Thursday. I went to have my hair done, trying out a new hairdresser - verdict is not in at the moment. But on Thursday evening we went to see Billy Elliot at Birmingham Hippodrome. I thought it was amazing and could happily go again.
On Friday we collected out granddaughters from school as Sarah (D.I.L.) was at the Fort in B'ham with Betsey her vintage ice cream van. As it was our son's birthday we went to their house later and enjoyed some delicious Chinese take away. On Saturday we chilled out :-)
Sunday was DH's birthday,  I treated him to lunch out and then we went to our son's for some cake and tea.
Monday was Bank Holiday, youngest son. granddaughters and DH and I met up with eldest son and D.I.L. and eldest grandson at Carsington Water in Derbyshire - to celebrate the birthdays. Lunch , a walk and then cake and coffee. Sarah was in Brindley Place in B.ham with Betsey and grandson Sam was at Headingly playing cricket with the Yorkshire cricket team - a chance he couldn't miss. It seems we've been eating lots!!! A lovely time though - much needed.
Today not so good as I had to go to the dentist :-( (my tooth broke for a second time so it was decided that a crown was the next step). The preparation for it was very painful :-(

Well I'd better get onto the WOYWW part hadn't I. I finished all the cards I needed. I will show you next week. They should be on my blog on Saturday when I am supposed to be joining in with a Blog Hop. Not done one before so we will see.

I am still preparing for the Craft Weekend - well Friday evening and Saturday - in a couple of weeks time. Still lots to do

Below - where I was working- still looks same tonight - Tuesday.

Below, other end of table with some of the samples etc.

I will endeavour to visit a few more desks tomorrow! Certainly visit all who visit me and who end in the same number as me. Want to join in then visit stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ where the lovely Julia- the Boss :-) will tell you how.

The birthday boy, well one of them :-) blowing out his candles. my friend made him a delicious carrot cake. I put the frosting on and made the carrots!!

Sarah, Jonathan and the girls put together a hamper for DH as there was nothing else he wanted. He is so difficult to buy for.

Scooting along, three of our four grandchildren.

Carsington Water

Eldest grandson - Harry

DH, eldest Matthew, youngest- Jonathan and Matthew's wife Carolynn

Well I think I've gone on enough now. Hopefully back with WOYWW next week and the blog hop on Saturday!

  2. What a good catch-up you posted! It sounds like you've had a whirlwind of family and friends get-togethers and events. Sorry about your tooth, I have a broken molar that I can't seem to work up the courage to go to the dentist and get fixed as it will be a crown, too. Wah! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
